Business Support Fund Expansion for Regional Victoria

With the announcement of Stage 3 restrictions in Victoria, the Business Support Fund Grant Expansion has been expanded to include regional Victoria. The expansion grant is $5,000 for regional Victoria and $10,000 for metro Melbourne and Mitchel Shire.

We are happy to announce the application form is now updated and you can apply now.

We’ve summarised the eligibility requirements for you


* Please ensure you read the full application eligibility criteria carefully, as all applications are subject to an audit for 4 years.

Businesses can apply where they meet all the criteria listed below.

They must:

  • operate a business located within Victoria; and

  • be a participant in the Commonwealth Government’s JobKeeper Payment scheme; and

  • employ people; and

  • be registered with WorkSafe on 30 June 2020; and

  • have an annual payroll of less than $3 million in 2019-20 on an ungrouped basis; and

  • be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) as at 30 June 2020; and

  • hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have held that ABN at 30 June 2020; and

  • be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator.

Businesses that have received funding from other components of the Victorian Government’s Economic Survival Package are eligible to apply for this program.

Business owners that do not employ people (non-employing businesses) are not eligible for funding through this program. Employing businesses must provide their WorkCover Employer Number in the application form for verification.

What you’ll need to apply:

  • Your JobKeeper application number

  • Your Workcover number

  • Proof of your principle place of business (rates notice, lease agreement, utility notice)

  • And all other usual information, ABN, ACN etc
